Champion Big Drama relocates to Bridlewood

Big Drama, the champion sprinter of 2010, will relocate to Bridlewood Farm in Ocala, Fla., for the 2015 breeding season, where he will stand for an advertised fee of $10,000.

The 8-year-old son of Montbrook previously stood at HallMarc Stallions at Stonewall Farm in Ocala, where he was advertised at the same price. His first foals will be 2-year-olds of 2015.

"Hallmarc Stallions is excited to announce that Big Drama will stand the 2015 season at Bridlewood's beautiful facilities,” said Marc Haisfield of Hallmarc Stallions. “Big Drama is the top sire by yearling average in Florida and Hallmarc Stallions looks forward to continued success as his 2-year-olds start to race in 2015."

Big Drama won 11 of 19 starts during his on-track career for earnings of $2,746,060. In addition to his victory in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs, Big Drama won the Grade 2 Smile Sprint Handicap, as well as the Grade 3 Delta Jackpot Stakes and Mr. Prospector Stakes. He also swept his division of the Florida Stallion Series at the former Calder Race Course as a juvenile to add to his 11 total stakes wins.

Homebred in Florida by Harold L. Queen, Big Drama is out of the unraced Notebook mare Riveting Drama, whose nine foals to race are all winners, also including multiple Grade 2-placed stakes winner Little Drama, stakes winners Sheer Drama, Queen Drama, and Drama’s Way, and stakes-placed Coffee Can.

"We are pleased to welcome champion Big Drama to the Bridlewood stallion roster for 2015,” said George Isaacs, general manager of Bridlewood Farm. “His yearlings looked the part at the sales this year and my scouting reports indicate they should come out running".
