Chainman dominated the Grade 2, $268,447 Hobbs America Futurity on Sunday, when he led throughout for a 1 1/4-length win over Valorus in the Quarter Horse feature at Zia Park in New Mexico. Chainman ($4.40) was the fastest qualifier for the 400-yard finale. It was his third straight win, following a conditioned allowance score and his trial for the Hobbs. Chainman on Sunday covered the distance on a fast track in 19.95 seconds. Bonifacio Quiroz was aboard for trainer Harvey Baeza. Benito Arenivas owns Chainman, who is a son of Separatist.
