Multiple-stakes winner Cassatt will make her turf debut in the Jersey Lilly Stakes on Saturday.

Cassatt is entered in the Jersey Lilly Stakes on Saturday at Sam Houston, marking the first attempt on turf for the graded stakes-winning earner of more than $700,000. On paper, the daughter of leading sire Tapit is well suited to the move.

Cassatt’s dam, Justenufftime, is out of the turf stakes winner Justenuffheart, a half-sister to turf champion and leading sire Kitten’s Joy as well as multiple Grade 1 winner Precious Kitten. It is also the family of Grade 1 winner Down the Aisle.

Justenuffheart produced three graded stakes winners. Two of those were on turf, including the versatile champion Dreaming of Anna, who won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies on dirt but won five other graded stakes on turf. Dreaming of Anna is now the dam of two winners from three starters, led by the Grade 1-placed stakes winner Fast Anna and the stakes-placed All Her Class. Her daughter Dreamologist is a winner on both turf and dirt, most recently taking an off-the-turf optional claimer by 3 1/2 lengths on Feb. 19 at Santa Anita. The stakes-bound filly is by Tapit, making her a close relative to Cassatt.
