Canterbury: Lemonlime survives

Lemonlime, the 5-2 favorite, narrowly prevailed in the $45,000 Northbound Pride Stakes at Canterbury Park, edging Silk Degrees by a half-length after a bumpy stretch run. Angel Smoke finished third, a head behind Silk Degrees.

The stewards conducted an immediate inquiry into the incident at the top of the stretch and disqualified Silk Degrees from second and placed her last. Angel Smoke was placed second and Demon's Storm was moved up to third.

Lemonlime ($7.60), trained by Anthony Granitz and ridden by Nik Goodwin, covered about a mile on turf in 1:36.66.
