ETOBICOKE, Ontario — Calling Rhy Rhy ($4.10) proved a comfortable winner in Sunday’s $150,000 Jammed Lovely Stakes, giving jockey Alan Garcia his second consecutive score in the seven-furlong test for Ontario-bred 3-year-old fillies at Woodbine.

In a four-horse field, Calling Rhy Rhy dueled up front with outsider Westlodge Intrigue through soft fractions, while Tiz Imaginary and Conquest Fleetfeet stalked outside on the turn.

Tiz Imaginary took dead aim at Calling Rhy Rhy at the head of the stretch, but the latter repelled the challenge to prevail by 2 1/4 lengths, in a final time of 1:22.59. Conquest Fleetfeet wound up third, and Westlodge Intrigue faded to bring up the rear.

Calling Rhy Rhy, a daughter of City Zip, banked $94,500 for owner-breeder Robert Harvey and trainer Roger Attfield.

“She’s a lovely type of a filly,” said Attfield, who had won the Jammed Lovely thrice before. “She had trained on from her last race very well. I was expecting a good effort from her today.”

Garcia won the 2015 Jammed Lovely on the Chad Brown-trained shipper Strong Inventive.
