Bushranger sires first winner


Multiple Group 1 winner Bushranger was represented by his first winner on Wednesday in England, when his daughter Outback Lover won a maiden race at Wolverhampton.

It was the second start for the 2-year-old filly, who is the first winner out of the winning Mujadil mare Lady Thyne. Outback Lover finished fifth in her debut effort at Lingfield three days earlier.

Bushranger, a 7-year-old Danetime horse, won four of 10 career starts, earning $662,170. He was a dual Group 1 winner as a juvenile, capturing the Middle Park Stakes in England and the Prix Morny in France, as well as the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Anglesey Stakes in Ireland. The colt was Group 1 placed the following season as a 3-year-old, finishing third in the Phoenix Stakes in Ireland.

Bushranger is owned in partnership by Tally-Ho Stud of Ireland and Eliza Park Stud of Australia, where he stands the Southern Hemisphere season.

He is standing the 2013 Northern Hemisphere season at Tally-Ho Stud in Westmeath, Ireland for an advertised fee of $9,584 (7,500 Euros), and he will stand the Southern Hemisphere season at Eliza Park Stud for $10,319 (9,900 Australian dollars).
