B's Wild Rush ($7.40), a beaten favorite at 1-5 and even money in her first two starts locally, made amends by cruising to a 6 1/2-length victory Friday night in the $51,200 Ruth Funkhouser Stakes at Charles Town. The seven-furlong Funkhouser was the local prep for West Virginia-accredited 3-year-old fillies pointing to the $100,000 West Virginia Division of Tourism on the Oct. 20 West Virginia Breeders Classics program. Ridden by Travis Dunkelberger for trainer Scott Lake, B's Wild Rush covered the distance in 1:26.98. Sassy Sheri finished second, a neck in front of 2-1 favorite Jip's Girl.
