Bryn’s Fancy Pants overcame a six-month layoff to remain undefeated in three starts in Saturday night’s $50,000 Petticoat at the Downs at Albuquerque. She was a 5 1/4- length winner over Ready and Set.

The Petticoat was a 5 1/2-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies.

Bryn’s Fancy Pants ($3.20) was making her first start since December, when she captured the $85,000 La Senora at Sunland Park. She was content to stalk the pace early in the Petticoat before overtaking the leaders and proceeding to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:03.96.

Norberto Arroyo Jr. was aboard for trainer Todd Fincher.

Bryn’s Fancy Pants races for Dale Taylor, Carey Taylor, and Jon Hogg. She is a daughter of Southwestern Heat and was bred in New Mexico. Bryn’s Fancy Pants launched her career in November with a 10-length maiden special weight win at Zia Park.
