Brothers to be inducted into Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame

Frank Brothers, who won nine training titles at Louisiana Downs and five at Fair Grounds, will be the first trainer inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame when he is enshrined during June 27 ceremonies in Natchitoches, La. Brothers, now retired from training, was chosen for the honor by a 35-member committee made up of sports writers based in Louisiana.

Jake Delhomme, a former NFL quarterback and past president of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association, is also part of the 2015 class that was announced last week by the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. Delhomme is being feted for his football accomplishments, but also has an active racing stable in Louisiana.
