This week we take the right and left coast approach to try to get off a bit of a schneid that we're on.

Gulfstream Park, , Maiden Special, 7 Furlongs

We could have picked many horses in several races at this track--from maiden claiming to maiden special to allowance to the stakes (check out the BreezeFigs sheet--it's chock full of plays). But this race looks slightly juicy because firster Betterincludeme is probably going to go off at 10-to-1 since he is looked at as Pletcher's "second" horse in this race. He clocked a Group I, 4-over-par BreezeFig with a great 24.68 ft. stride length at the FTFFEB sale this time last year. Greeley's Angel comes out of the same sale with somewhat similar credentials and has a race under his belt. These two do not show as having been sold at the sale because they did not meet their reserves (RNA on the BreezeFigs sheet)--but we just uncovered them for you. These two look like nice gimmick plays at the very least.

Santa Anita, , Maiden Special, 6 1/2 Furlongs (Turf)

Down the hill, we are backing a horse for the third time--let's hope it is a charm. Montara put up a huge BreezeFig at last year's KEEAPR sale--Group 1, highest BreezeFig of the day (74), with a tremendous stride length of 25.27 feet. She worked very well on February 1st and had a good long stretch of the legs 2 weeks ago and should not get tired this time, so we shall back her once again.
