BreezeFigs Quick-Pix, Saturday, June 2nd

We gave you another 2-Y-O debut winner last week when Nordic Wind scored. Let’s see if we can keep this streak going. Remember, keep stride length (SL) in mind when handicapping from the BreezeFigs sheet and take advantage of all the tips that we provide--you can get a good idea by clicking on BreezeFigs Information underneath the two BreezeFigs links in the DRF-PLUS box in the right hand column on the home page and downloading files there.

We have 3-Y-O maiden and 2-Y-O maiden Quick-Pix at Hollywood this week:

Hollywood Park, , Maiden Special, 6 Furlongs

The Group 1 BARMAR horse, The Ivan Show, was last seen making his debut in a 80K stakes race and finishing up the track in January. Now the 25.2 ft strider has had some time to freshen up and Doug O'Neill has him working very well toward this race. He might get some competition from Yodelay You’re Who, who had similar numbers at the same sale and might be coming to hand.

Hollywood Park, , Maiden Special, 5 Furlongs

This could be a key baby race and there are three BreezeFigs horses to look at. Doug O'Neill is here again with Group 2 BARMAR graduate, Savannah Peach, who pumped out a 69 BreezeFig with a nice 24.2 ft. SL and did it very well. Another filly from that same sale, Tasha's Miracle, was a $325k RNA and was a Group 1 horse with a 72 BreezeFig and a major 25.2 ft stride; this horse worked very well 3 days ago. Another one to consider is Freddie Ruth, who graduated from the OBSMAR sale with a 25.5 ft stride which earned her a Group 1 BreezeFig of 74, which was just three points below the best in the sale.
