BreezeFigs Quick-Pix, Saturday, June 17

to check out the new format for 2-year-old races).

Monmouth Park, , Maiden Special, 6 Furlongs

True Argument ran well in her debut and may be favored. She came out of the OBSFEB sale where she worked 1/8 twice and improved her stride length to over 24 feet in her best work. Strong contender for all the marbles. Two firsters should be considered here based on the form at last year's 2-year-old sales. Crisp and Cool worked twice at 1/8 at the FTFFEB sale last year an posted two excellent works--but her second one, on which this BreezeFig is based, saw her post an almost unheard of 26 foot stride length (she had a near 25 footer in the first work). She did not meet his reserve at that sale (RNA) and it's a little late for her debut, but watch the board. J P's Afleet comes out of the same sale, also worked twice at 1/8, and attained a lower BreezeFig in both based on stride lengths just over 23 feet. She may be quick from the gate and is worth a gimmick play.

Woodbine, , maiden Special, 4 1/2 Furlongs

An absolutely intriguing race with a near standout in Heidi Ho Silver, who posted a six over Par BreezeFig at 1/8 at OBSMAR and comes from a hot firster barn. But look out for Wonder Time, who was scratched out of the OBSFEB sale after obviously coming up with a problem (her stride length was just awful) but came back at OBSAPR two months later and clocked a decent BreezeFig at a quarter mile with a stride length that was almost a foot longer. She looks like she might be a good in a gimmick.
