There are two races to focus on on Saturday, February 18: GULFSTREAM, Race 2, 7 furlongs, MSW Lots of well-bred colts with a homebred, Shone, the likely favorite coming off a bullet work for Nick Zito at Palm Meadows. But there are three horses to consider strongly. In Certain Circles has very good connections in WinStar and Steve Assmussen - and he's a "hidden BreezeFig" horse because he was an RNA ($145k) at OBSMAR where he was a Group 2, three-over par with a 66 BreezeFig at a good sale. Meteoroligist came out of the same sale with virtually the same BreezeFig and has the hot striking Puglisi-Klesaris combo behind him. Crafty Chip had nice numbers at OBSJUN, a lesser sale, but he brought a good price there. All three are contenders off their Beyers as well. CHARLES TOWN, Race 1, 4 1/2 Furlongs, MSW The ones who have started already are looking for direction with low Beyers, but a firster, Logan's Rally, had a very good seven-over par 68 BreezeFig at OBSAPR, a decent sale for this level of horse, and he looks generous at 4-1 morning line odds. Of the Group 1 horses on Saturday's sheet, He's My Pal might outshine his competition at Philly Park.
