BreezeFigs Quick-Pix, Saturday, Feb. 17

Interesting things keep happening in the world of BreezeFigs. Last week we gave you two races, and our pick at Santa Anita didn't make it in off the AE's--but the only other race there with BreezeFigs runners was won by a Group 1 firster who paid $11. At Gulfstream, our pick was also scratched, but another BreezeFigs horse won. He was one of four BreezeFigs winners at Gulfstream that day--every race with a BreezeFigs starter, including a $26 firster. We'll stick with Gulfstream this week as well.

Gulfstream Park, , Maiden Special, 7 Furlongs

There are four BreezeFigs horses in this race--but you'll see only one, a firster, Haventgotmywings, in the PP's, as having come out of a 2-y-o sale. That's because the other three breezed at the sales but were scratched (SCR) from the sale before going through the ring. (Remember, this is one of the great advantages of getting the BreezeFigs card). Another firster, Whata Ya Mean, hails from KEEAPR with a three-over-Par, Group 2, BreezeFig of 65 and a 24.75 ft stride length (SL). Looks to do well today. Of the two who have started, Nothing Impossible is shortening back from a mile--he earned a Group 2 BreezeFig at OBSMAR, showing a good 23.75 ft SL. Jeronimos Storm is a shorter striding horse that was also a Group 2 at OBSMAR but might only be worth a gimmick play here. As for Haventgotmywings, he posted a long 23.93 ft stride but only earned a 61 Fig, four under Par, and like Jeronimos Storm, might only be a gimmick play.
