BreezeFigs Quick-Pix, Saturday, Dec. 9

. Here are two others that look mighty fine:

Hawthorne, , Maiden Special, 6 Furlongs

Sent off favorite first time out and just missing, Boaz looks like a logical favorite here and a nice gimmick play with Play Thru, who did OK in his debut as well. Both were G1 horses in their respective sales (Boaz was an RNA at OBSMAR and Play Thru was a top fig horse at the weaker OBSJUN), but they will have some trouble with two that earned G2 status at their sales. They are Fun With Phil, a firster who was a SCR after breeziing at OBSMAR, and Hopetown Hero, who lacked racing room in his debut and came out of the very good FTFFEB sale with a good number. All these horses are basically even on paper--stride lengths are close, though Play Thru has a clear edge at 24 feet. Watch the board on these four--you may have to spread it around, but the payoff should be worth it.

Hollywood, , Maiden Special, 6 Furlongs

There are four races with BreezeFigs horses on this card, but this race has many firsters and some that have shown promise already. There are three G1 horses--Can this Be True, a firster who earned a three-over-Par BreezeFig at OBSFEB, and Newsworthy who had a four-over-Par fig at FTFFEB and a near 24-foot SL but based on his PP lines needs to settle in order to take advantage of it. While both merit strong consideration, you should take a very close look at Two Dimensional, an RNA at FTFFEB with a nearly 25-foot SL and a five-over-Par BreezeFig. He's owned by the lady who bought him back, and she's very smart so watch the board here and use this colt in what shapes up as a heck of a race.
