Bogeyman, an Argentine-bred 6-year-old who was a Group 1 winner earlier this year, is part of a field of 14 in Friday’s Gran Premio 25 at San Isidro Racecourse in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The race offers an automatic Win and You're In berth to the winner for the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Santa Anita on Nov. 3.

Bogeyman, by Editor’s Note, won the Group 3 ClasicoPorteno over about 1 1/2 miles on turf on April 21. The Gran Premio 25 is run over the same distance. In February, Bogeyman won the Group 1 Gran Premio Miguel Martinez de Hoz, his first win at that level.

In Friday’s race, Bogeyman faces such prominent runners as Al Qasr, who was third in the Group 1 Republica Argentina at Palermo on May 1, and Rapid in the Reye, the winner of the Gran Premio de Honor on dirt on April 2.

The winner must be nominated to the Breeders’ Cup program by Oct. 22 to take advantage of the sponsor’s automatic berth, which includes a fees paid berth to the BC Turf and a $20,000 travel allowance.
