Breeders' Cup owners and trainers pledge shares to New Vocations
Email
For the fourth year, the New Vocations racehorse retraining and adoption program has received pledges from Breeders’ Cup owners and trainers who will donate a percentage of their purse earnings at the event Nov. 2-3 at Santa Anita.
In its previous three years, such Breeders’ Cup pledges have raised more than $150,000. This year, 39 Breeders’ Cup runners have connections making pledges. Participating trainers include Chad Brown, Kiaran McLuaghlin, Doug O’Neill, Todd Pletcher, and Eddie Plesa. Owners include Eclipse Partners, Donegal Racing, Padua Stables and Richard Santulli, Off the Hook, Starlight Racing, Zayat Stables, Sisters in Racing, James Covello, West Point Thoroughbreds, and Bradley Thoroughbreds.
New Vocations is continuing to seek additional pledges from Breeders’ Cup runners’ connections.
