Metro Pace champion Lost In Time, along with Stay Hungry and Karpathian Kid, won the trio of $20,000 Breeders Crown 2-Year-Old Colt Pace eliminations on Saturday night at Hoosier Park. Lost In Time (Scott Zeron) was up to get the lead beyond the 27 second opening quarter in the first elimination, and he then strolled through a half in 56 3/5 and a three-quarters in 1:26.  They sprinted for home off that 59 second middle-half, and there was no catching Lost In Time as he wound up defeating This Is The Plan (David Miller) by a length and a quarter in a 1:52 4/5 mile.  Keystone Tenacious (Mark MacDonald) rode the rail to a third-place finish. "The first thing you notice when you come out here is that there is a huge headwind down the lane," noted Zeron.  "I tried to set it up so that I could get a breather up the backside.  I knew it was going to turn into a sprint with the wind not being in my favor.  It worked out great with the fractions to play off where I could come home fast." Jim Mulinix trains Lost In Time for owners A Rocknroll Dance Racing, Denny Miller, William Rufenacht, and Team S Racing Stable.  A $47,000 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale purchase, Lost In Time now has four wins and two second-place finishes from six lifetime starts, and he has earned $385,555.  Bred by Diamond Creek Farm LLC., Lost In Time is out of the Artiscape mare Summer Mystery, making him a half-brother to Vertical Horizon (Western Ideal, $856,063).  Sent off at 2-5, Lost In Time paid $2.80 to win. Grand Teton (MacDonald) would take the group of six through panels of 26 1/5, 54 4/5, and 1:23 in the second elimination, but he gave way in the lane with pocket-sitting Shnitzledosomethin (Peter Wrenn) taking over.  Shnitzledosomethin put away challenges from favored Hayden Hanover (Andy Miller) and a rallying Western Passage (Brian Sears) and appeared like he was on his way to victory, but Stay Hungry (Doug McNair), who had sat third throughout, came up with a late rush to his outside to snatch away the win by a nose in 1:50 4/5.  Whos Better (Tim Tetrick) was up for third, and Western Passage wound up fourth and was also the highest-earning fourth-place finisher in the three elims, securing him a spot in the final. "He was tremendous.  He's so much better off a helmet," said winning trainer Tony Alagna.  "Last week (a win in a division of The Madison County at Hoosier) he went to the front because he was the favorite in there, and I don't think that's really his game.  I think tracking horses like he did tonight is much more his style of racing.  I thought he was explosive when (McNair) popped the plugs tonight, and he was really happy with his effort." Stay Hungry, a son of Somebeachsomewhere, is trained by Alagna for owners Brad Grant and Irwin Samelman.  A $150,000 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale purchase, he has won five times from seven opportunities, and he now sports a bankroll of $137,964.  Bred by Av And Son Bloodstock LLC., Stay Hungry is the fifth foal out of My Little Dragon (Dragon Again, $2,318,623).  The 5-2 second choice, Stay Hungry returned $7.00 to win. The final elimination saw I'm A Big Deal (Yannick Gingras) in charge at the 26 3/5 front quarter, but he would give way to both Karpathian Kid (David Miller) and Closing Statement (Brian Sears) prior to the 55 second half.  Closing Statement went on to three-quarters in 1:23, but Karpathian Kid came up his inside in the stretch to score by a length in 1:51.  Closing Statement was the runner-up and Dorsoduro Hanover (Matt Kakaley) took third. "He raced very well.  The trip worked out good, and he's a nice horse.  He's got a good attitude, and he moves great.  He's got speed, so he's got all the qualities." Karpathian Kid, who now has a record of 4-5-1 from 11 efforts, is trained by Erv Miller for co-owners/breeders David and John Prushnok and co-owners David J. Miller and Lawrence Means.  Karpathian Kid, out of the Dragon's Lair mare Vysoke Tatry ($641,837) and a full brother to R J P ($243,716), has put away $151,267 and paid $3.40 to win as the 3-5 favorite.
