Breeders’ Cup names Calumet as official partner

The Breeders' Cup has announced that Calumet Farm of Lexington, Ky., has been named an official farm partner of the Breeders' Cup World Championships.

The 2015 Breeders' Cup will be held Oct. 30 and 31 in Lexington. Historic Calumet, which is currently under the leadership of Brad Kelley, is located virtually adjacent to the racetrack, on Versailles Road in Lexington.

As a part of the multiyear agreement, Calumet will receive a fully integrated media package of television, print, Internet, and on-site exposure surrounding the Breeders' Cup and its major preps, including commercial time. Calumet stallions and progeny will also be identified with on-screen graphics during those telecasts in the post parade.

Calumet joins Claiborne Farm, Coolmore Stud, Lane's End, Three Chimneys Farm, and WinStar Farm, all located in or near Lexington, as Breeders' Cup partners.

“Calumet joins a very prominent group of farm partners who have made a significant commitment to be a part of 2015 Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland and for Central Kentucky,” Craig Fravel, Breeders’ Cup president and CEO, said. “Calumet has enjoyed a rich tradition of remarkable success on the racetrack and in the breeding shed as one of America’s most storied Thoroughbred farms. We welcome their expanded participation in this year’s championships.”
