Breeders’ Cup: Friday pick six pays $773,865; Ladies' Classic BC/Classic double will-pays
By Mike Welsch
Email
ARCADIA, Calif. – Royal Delta rewarded one lucky pick-six bettor with a $773,865 payday by virtue of her two-length victory over My Miss Aurelia in Friday’s Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic.
Royal Delta was one of only two horses covered in the Breeders’ Cup pick six along with Grace Hall, who finished fourth in the Ladies’ Classic. A victory by any of the other six fillies and mares in the race would have created a huge carryover going into the second day of the 2012 Breeders’ Cup.
Royal Delta was the only favorite to win any leg of the pick six, which encompassed all six Breeders’ Cup races on Friday’s card. The winning sequence included Hightail ($32.80), the longest price in the Juvenile Sprint; Calidoscopio ($36.40) in the Marathon; Flotilla ($24.80) in the Juvenile Fillies Turf; Beholder ($9.80) in the Juvenile Fillies; and Zagora ($20.40) in the Filly and Mare Turf.

According to Randy Hartzell, director of parimutuels at Santa Anita, the winning ticket was purchased through the Xpressbet wagering site.
Royal Delta, the betting favorite in the Ladies’ Classic, also was the opening half of the Ladies’ Classic-Classic daily double. Will pays for the sequence, all based on $1 wagers, are Pool Play ($113.20), Flat Out ($17.30), Alpha ($94.20), Fort Larned ($31.50), Game On Dude ($7.50), Brilliant Speed ($118.30), Handsome Mike ($118.70), Nonios ($70.80), Richard’s Kid ($55.10), Ron the Greek ($28.40), Mucho Macho Man ($26.40), and To Honor and Serve ($50).
I won it but in my excitement I threw my hands in the air after delta won and the ticket flew away...sniff sniff..it was a four dollar ticket

So how much did the winning COST.....why withhold that information?

just do the math. Based on Royal Delta's win price, the double will pay indicates that Game on Dude may go off at less than 2-1, That sure doesn;t seem to be a value.

I didn't do it - Honest! I swear !!!

Best Bets
NO NAY NEVER didn't break all that well in his debut but he moved up smoothly to make the lead after about 100 yards, and after he withstood a stretch challenge from the eventual runner-up he won while virtually in hand; trainer Wesley Ward is lethal with 2-year-olds and this colt figures very tough here with an effort as good as that first one. SWEET EMMA ROSE, an uncoupled stablemate of the top pick, meets males but she's clearly a threat off that debut romp; barn seems to hold all the aces.
