Boys At Tosconova to stand for $5,000 at Questroyal North
Email
Grade 1 winner Boys At Tosconova will begin his stud career in 2013 at Questroyal North in Stillwater, N.Y., for a fee of $5,000 live foal. The 4-year-old son of Officer is owned by a partnership of Questroyal Stud, Gus Schoenborn, and Taylor Made Stallions and will be syndicated.
Trained by Rick Dutrow, Boys At Tosconova made his career debut in the Grade 3 Kentucky Juvenile Stakes and finished second. He won his next start by 12 lengths at Belmont Park and then captured the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes. He closed out his juvenile campaign with a runner-up finish to champion Uncle Mo in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile. He won three of five starts at 3 and 4 to finish with an overall record of five wins in nine starts and earnings of $688,960.
“Boys At Tosconova is an outstanding racehorse with exceptional conformation who showed enormous precocity and hails from a sire line that favors durable speed,” said Ben Taylor, Taylor Made vice president. “We are very excited to partner with Questroyal Stud and Gus Schoenborn on this exciting young stallion in New York and are looking forward to seeing his first crop of foals.”
Boys At Tosconova is out of the stakes-placed Coronado’s Quest mare Little Bonnet, and his second dam is multiple Grade 3 winner Valid Bonnet.
