Jockey Calvin Borel will be honored by the Bill Hartack Foundation at award ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino Event Center. The Hartack Foundation, established to honor the lifetime achievements of the five-time Kentucky Derby winning rider, contributes to Thoroughbred racing industry charities and recognizes the jockey who rides the Kentucky Derby winner each year with The Bill Hartack Memorial Award.Tickets for the reception and award ceremony are $50.00 per person and include an open bar and buffet from 7 to 9 p.m. They can be purchased through Evangeline Downs by calling 337 594-3000 or by contacting the Bill Hartack Foundation at 504-293-2647 or online at info@billhartackfoundation.com.
