Boldanzar races again for Trudel

EDMONTON, Alberta - I Love Chocolate and Boldanzar will be the major players in a seven-horse field for Friday's feature, a $28,000 claiming race at 6 1/2 furlongs.

I Love Chocolate was reclaimed out of a winning race for $22,000 by trainer Ernie Keller last time out. A week earlier, I Love Chocolate had won an allowance for nonwinners of two in his first start for trainer Dale Saunders. Leanne Painter will ride.

Boldanzar is back "home" with trainer Yves Trudel and the Jus Luk Stable, Amgar Farms, and Kim and Colleen Graham after being reclaimed for $28,000. Boldanzar had won and finished second in two starts for $28,000 after being claimed from Trudel for $22,000 on May 7. Quincy Welch retains the mount.

Cool Bender, trained by Barry Brown for owner Abe Brewster, will be running for $28,000 again, after running second in a drop from $35,000. Craig Faine has the mount.

Dr. Mo, who has drawn the rail, finished third behind Cool Bender in that race. He ran second to Boldanzar in his season's debut June 2. He was claimed by Mike Glazier last time out, but will keep his rider, Real Simard.

Regency Bay draws the outside post, and trainer Lianne Knechtel named apprentice Shannon Beauregard to ride. Regency Bay ran second in his latest race.

Lomar Stable's Bridge to Romance, with Mike Iammarino up, will be looking for his first success since opening his campaign with an allowance win at six furlongs.

Intore, with Perry Winters aboard, completes the field. He ran unplaced in his last two races.
