Blumin Attitude figures sharp

Blumin Attitude seeks his third stakes win of the year when he heads a field of six older Nebraska-breds in the $15,000 Amadevil Stakes going six furlongs at Columbus.

Blumin Attitude has won two of his last three stakes appearances, most recently taking the Who Doctor Who Handicap going a mile at Horsemen's Park on July 18. He also won the Big Red Mile at Lincoln on May 25 and was second in the State Fair Board Stakes there on July 4. Luis Ranilla will be aboard for trainer Dan Coughlin.

Skwhirl won this race in 2007 and was a solid second behind Blumin Attitude in the Who Doctor Who in his last start. He was third in the State Fair Board and the turn-back in distance to his preferred six furlongs should allow for a strong late run. Jesus Ponce will have the ride.

Heso has won five races this year, including the President's Cup Stakes at Lincoln on June 14 at six furlongs. Heso is a front-runner whose strongest distance is six furlongs. He failed to make the lead in the Who Doctor Who and faded to seventh that day, but should give a much improved effort here.

The field includes Larrylarrylarry, The Batista Bomb, and Justabit Shawklit, each of whom will be in with a fair chance to pull the upset.

The Batista Bomb, trained by Kelli Martinez, won here last Saturday when he led start to finish over a field of $10,000 claiming company going 6 1/2 furlongs. Should he try to hook up with Heso on a hot pace, both Skwhirl and Blumin Attitude should be lying in wait to unleash their rallies.
