GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - Bluegrass Sara remained perfect in three career starts Saturday when she cruised to a six length win in the $75,000 Silver Spur Breeders' Cup at Lone Star Park.

Royal Pet finished second, two and a quarter lengths in front of third-place finisher Dee's Justice.

Bluegrass Sara($3) settled in fourth early in the six-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies while her entrymate, Queen Trigger, and Royal Pet dueled through an opening quarter in 21.38 seconds. The eventual winner advanced on the turn, overtook the leaders into the stretch, and went on to cover the distance in 1:11.06.

The win was the second straight in a stakes for Bluegrass Sara. In her previous start, she was a wire-to-wire winner of the $138,000 fillies division of the Texas Thoroughbred Association Sales Futurity.

"She showed today she will relax," said Corey Lanerie, who rode Bluegrass Sara for trainer Kari Craddock. "She didn't go until you asked her."

Bluegrass Sara earned $45,000 for the win, which improved her earnings to $138,720. She races for her breeder, Heiligbrodt Racing Stable.
