Analysis:

Todd Pletcher is one of the best first-out trainers in the world, and his BELLA SHAMBROCK was one of the top twenty highest-priced juveniles in the Ocala Breeders' February Sale. He worked in 10.20 under tack for that auction, and his Palm Meadows breezes look solid. He is bred strongly for turf and distance on the bottom of the pedigree, but should show good speed under go-to rider John Velazquez. READY NEKIA worked a bullet out of the gate at Aiken, and as a January foal, may be the most physically mature of these babies. He draws inside, and is by an excellent debut sire. Steve Asmussen's babies should always get respect, and his PALJO is bred both sides for speed. More importantly, he has a workout over this surface. ONE GOOD YANK sold for 170K at Fasig Tipton after breezing 2 furlongs in 21.60. It is interesting to note that trainer Dale Romans is 0-19 with juvenile firsters at Keeneland over the last five years.
