Blue Grass Farms Charities elects new board members


Blue Grass Farms Charities, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing social services to Thoroughbred industry members in Central Kentucky, held its annual election of officers and directors, with four new members added to the board.

The charity has served approximately 2,500 members of the Thoroughbred industry through programs such as emergency financial aid, food, clothing, a Christmas party, health clinics, and education.

The following members were added to the board of directors:

- Dr. Thomas Riddle, a founding partner in Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital

- Thomas Thornbury, Associate Director of Sales with the Keeneland Association

- Barb Farrell, real estate professional with Bluegrass Sotheby’s International Reality

- Christina Jelm of Yellow Creek Bloodstock

Additionally, the following members were named officers of the nonprofit organization, established in 2003:

Chairman: Dennis Brawner, Dixiana Farms

Vice President: Gibson Wilhite, Wilhite, Ltd.

Secretary: Kelly Anne Beile, Kelly Hosts Public Relations

Treasurer: Tracie Willis, Darby Dan Farm
