Blazing Exploit wins Bucharest Stakes

Blazing Exploit wins the $40,000 Bucharest Stakes at Sam Houston Race Par on Saturday.

Blazing Exploit picked up the second stakes win of his career Saturday night when he led throughout to win the $40,000 Bucharest Stakes for 3-year-olds at Sam Houston Race Park.

He won by a half-length over Dwight Polite, who was two and a half lengths clear of third-place finisher Count The Bucks.

Blazing Exploit ($5) set fractions of 22.24 seconds for the opening quarter and 46.17 seconds for the half-mile mark in the Bucharest, then went on to cover six furlongs over a track rated good in 1:12.06.

Adrian Ramos rode Blazing Exploit for trainer Tom Amoss. The colt earned $24,000 for the win, which improved his record to four wins from six starts for earnings of $85,947.

Blazing Exploit's other career stakes win came in the $50,000 at Delta Beau Stakes at Delta Downs. He races for William Dorminy.
