Blame to stand for $20,000 in 2015

Claiborne Farm in Paris, Ky. has announced the advertised 2015 stud fee for champion Blame and adjusted the fee for Grade 3 winner Algorithms.

Blame, an 8-year-old son of Arch, will stand for an advertised fee of $20,000 in 2015 after standing the previous season for $30,000. His first crop of foals will be 3-year-olds of 2015.

Claiborne Farm also reduced the fee of Algorithms, whose first foals are weanlings of 2014. The 5-year-old son of Bernardini will stand for $5,000 after initially being advertised at $7,500 for the upcoming breeding season.

“This is Algorithms’ third year which traditionally is a hard year for a stallion,” said Claiborne Farm’s Bernie Sams. “It’s a competitive market, and Claiborne is committed to setting reasonable fees in order to accommodate the breeders, so it made sense to make this adjustment.”
