CYPRESS, Calif. - Bf Farm Boss won his third consecutive race, and first stakes, in Saturday’s $365,000 Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Racing Association Breeders’ Futurity at Los Alamitos.

Overcoming a few hesitant strides at the start, Bf Farm Boss ($3.40) took the lead in the final 50 yards of the 350-yard race under jockey Ramon Sanchez to win by a head over 5-1 A Goddess Thru Fire. Old Girl, a 4-1 chance who won the Kindergarten Futurity in May, finished third in the field of 10.

Trainer Paul Jones swept the first two positions. Jones had six of the 10 qualifiers.

Bf Farm Boss was timed in 17.51 seconds. Owned by breeders Don and Peggy Boyle and Wade Siegel, Bf Farm Boss won a division of the All American Futurity trials at Ruidoso Downs in August, but failed to qualify for the final. Bf Farm Boss was the fastest qualifier for the PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity from time trials held on Sept. 14.
