Beulah Park: Startin Something easy winner of Bricker Memorial

Startin Something made easy work of a short field of seven older Ohio-accredited fillies and mares in the $50,000 Bobbie Bricker Memorial at Beulah Park on Saturday.

Jockey Hector Rosario Jr. sent Startin Something to the lead out of the gate and she made the early lead. When challenged on the far turn, Rosario let Startin Something out a notch and she made the rest look easy, drawing off to a 5 3/4-length win.

Sheza Runaway Star was second after closing while wide, and pace-chasing Derby Day Storm was third.

Trained by Tim Hamm, Startin Something ran the mile and a sixteenth over a fast track in 1.48.63 and returned $2.40 to win.
