Beulah: Money Card draws off

Tampa Bay invader Money Card ($18.20) dueled outside of 6-5 favorite Lillians Choice to the stretch before drawing off to an 8 1/2-length win in the $50,000 Royal North Stakes for 3-year-old Ohio-bred fillies at Beulah.

Trained by Tim Girten, Money Card clocked the six furlongs in 1:11.52 under Jane Magrell while picking up her first career stakes win. Devilish Candy, a 40-1 shot, tracked the leaders to the stretch and completed the exacta, which was worth $328. Lillians Choice, returning from a six-month layoff for trainer Bret Calhoun, held third, finishing 1 1/4 lengths behind Devilish Candy.
