Beulah: Klassy Korbin wires Babst/Palacios

GROVE CITY, Ohio - Klassy Korbin led every step of the way to win the $50,000 Babst/Palacios at Beulah Park on Saturday.

Breaking from post 3 in the field of eight Ohio-bred older horses, Klassy Korbin had everything his own way, setting quick fractions of 21.99 and 45.37 seconds to lead by four going into the stretch. Jockey Scott Spieth went to work on Klassy Korbin, a 5-year-old son of Dayjur, and he responded, winning by 2 1/4 lengths.

Trained by Jeff Radosevich, Klassy Korbin finished fourth as the favorite in the prep for this event in his last out. Radosevich runners ran first and second as Raise the Reward closed to be second. The post-time favorite, That's a Heckofacat, was a half-length back in third.

The running time for the six furlongs over a muddy track was 1.10.91 and Klassy Korbin returned $11.60 to win.
