Belong To Me pensioned at Lane’s End


Belong To Me, sire of champion Forever Together, has been pensioned at Lane’s End Farm near Versailles, Ky. The son of Danzig is 24.

Belong to Me is the sire of 788 winners to date from 17 crops of racing age who have total earnings of over $72 million. He has sired 77 stakes winners.

Forever Together won the Eclipse Award for champion female turf horse of 2008 after taking the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf. She captured three other top-level wins during her career, twice winning the Grade 1 Diana Stakes at Saratoga and also scoring in the Grade 1 First Lady Stakes at Keeneland. Overall, Forever Together won or placed in 20 stakes, retiring with earnings of just under $3 million.

Belong To Me is also the sire of multiple Grade 1 winner Jersey Girl; Gautier, a champion in Peru and stakes-placed in the U.S.; and Australian Group 1 winners All Silent and Bon Hoffa.

On the racetrack, Belong To Me won seven of 16 starts and earned $261,166, with two Grade 3 wins.
