I'll tell you this,If Bailey was riding, AP would not have had such an easy time with the lead and burned him out just like he did when Smarty was going for the Crown.

AP gave me two pic-3's and a decent exacta, there was value. There were plenty of false favorites on the day but AP wasn't one of them. It wasn't logical trying to beat him, the exacta was cold and paid more than Frosted would of to win which was highly unlikely. I didn't play him to win but for those saying there was no value in a win bet I agreed, but like I also stated there was less value betting anything else to win because AP was going to pay over $3 more to win than anything else in the race. If AP was to lose it sure wasn't on paper and all those hot shot commentators and writers trying to beat him should hide for a while and quit calling themselfs handicappers.

Congratulations to American Pharoah and the connections for ending the 37 year drought and winning the very elusive triple crown. Lets just savor in the accomplishment for awhile before we start comparing him to previous TC winners, its irrelevant anyway, and no way to truly compare. Pharoah joins a very elite group of horses( period).

Great racing...positively lousy parimutuel proposition!

Nothing wrong with a $13 lock exacta

Second fastest Belmont win by a Triple Crown winner...Third largest margin of victory by a Triple Crown winner... We not just saw a Triple Crown winner. WE SAW GREATNESS Saturday... Thank You AMERICAN PHAROAH

Time only matters in jail..Looking at sheer times is a somewhat foolish way to compare horses ...

Some people said all along that his winning times were not all that fast.....only ap and secretariat knows what a 24 second final quarter does to other horses in a 1 1/2 mile race. Wonder what Pletcher plans to throw at AP next???? hope some idiot doesn't ship him to England !!!!

pletcher won in the early races over 1.25 million, 1 second and 3 wins in my book he is the best. i believe if the early pace was challenged, and it wasn"t , there wouln"t be a triple crown winner. iam glad to finally see a triple crown winner.
Raymond Felder More than 1 year ago
sorry again, the early times were slow, were was the speed in the race, iam happy for the winner. back n the day jockys in a race of that caliber would never allow that slow pace.
rahman Williams More than 1 year ago
Affirmed ran 50 second for the half mile that's right 50 seconds for the half mile and almost lost. I Dont See YOU Bringing THAT up.lol
Raymond Felder More than 1 year ago
iam happy for the winner, just wanted to see more of a challenge. if the speed ran like it was suppose to, the finish would be different. pace makes a race. 24 48 113 if a horse is running 22 23, 45 46, 110 111, the early times the pace was given and not contested , good win iam not mad

Hey genius, Seattle Slew took 3 seconds longer to get to the wire. Pharoah went faster each call. The pace was as Tom Durkin called "tepid". You, are uninformed.

That's how it looked on paper, the 8 would try and push him and get blown off like Sham, only Frosted could make a move to be best of the rest without getting close to AP. The form was just like having Sundays newspaper on Saturday, all you had to do was to know how to read

Someone please explain desormaeux's ride to me ??? Keen Ice certainly 2nd best horse ran about 500 extra feet than Frosted.....they were all running for 2nd but this ride is unexplainable !!!

In what planet is Keen Ice the clear second best horse in the race? Do you know how to read past performances?
Raymond Felder More than 1 year ago
nothing to explain, he was suppose to win, thats horse racing?

Keen Ice was running for third. When Frosted and Mubtaahjj gave chase to AP, Keen Ice's jockey waited until the stretch. Keen Ice picked up third by this strategy. The instructions to the jock were obvious: wait until the stretch, then fire, even if you only wind up third. Keen Ice was right with the leaders in the final turn and he let them get first run. Obviously, he was hoping for them to slow in the stretch but only Mubtaahjj did.

AP looked like an easy winner, Frosted looked like 2nd easy, all the rest looked bad. But with a lock cold $13 exacta why even look any further?

I was beginning to wonder if I would ever see another TC. How relieving to have it won by a truly remarkable horse. Many kudos to all the connections. Please just don't retire him before the Breeder's Cup - he deserves a major Hail & Farewell.
