Belmont: Pick six pays $16,961 to 83 winners
ELMONT, N.Y. - There were 83 winning tickets sold on Thursday’s pick six at Belmont Park, each returning $16,961.
The pick six had not been hit at Belmont since Sept. 13, creating a three-card carryover of $539,675 entering Thursday’s program. An additional $1,515,838 was wagered into the pool on Friday.
The winning sequence of 3-1-6-4-10-8 was bookended by heavy favorites Readtheprospectus ($3.90) and Hot Rendezvous ($4.60). In between, the winners were Double the Energy ($18.20), Summer Shiner ($10) - both trained by Linda Rice - favored Selenite ($8.20) and Lawyer Jim ($17.20).
The consolation payout (5 of 6) was $117.50.
This is the way it always goes when there is a big Pick 6 carryover...everyone gets all excited and then after several days of impossible long-shots winning races the ponies run like little trained pigs and the P6 pays nothing! In this case it paid less than the 50 cent Pick 4 the day before!
Big carryover, not that great of score. For me it would be, i played cheap ticket. Pretty chalky
U report this when Pomona pick 6 pays $161,000 ????????????????????
