ELMONT, N.Y. - Boisterous won last year’s Grade 3 Knickerbocker Stakes and will go for a repeat when that 1 1/8-mile turf race is run for the 52nd time Saturday at Belmont Park.
Boisterous, trained by Shug McGaughey for the Phipps Stable, won the Grade 3 Fort Marcy over a yielding Belmont turf in May. Since then, he was third in the Grade 1 Manhattan, second in the Grade 3 Arlington Handicap, and ninth in the Arlington Million.
Boisterous, who will be ridden by Jose Lezcano, drew post 4.
Also on Saturday is the Grade 3, $150,000 Athenia Stakes at 1 1/16 miles, which drew an evenly matched field of nine.
Dealbata, runner-up in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel for trainer Chad Brown, drew post 7 and may rate a slight favorite.
Others entered include La Cloche, Ruthenia, Embarr, Laughing, The Underling, Thundering Emilia, Martita Sangrita, and Law of the Range.
Or should I say logical.........yer

Lets look for a Christophe C. sweep....logicical?

Best Bets
DRINK OR SINK went too fast on the lead last time before fading on the turf at Tampa, and should be less aggressive here with blinkers off. Olguin was aboard for his good fall races on the Poly, and should have him closing at a square price in his second start of the year. GOOD BETTER BEST finished up the track behind two next-out winners when he tried the dirt for the first time March 30 at Gulfstream. He hasn't faced this easy a field in a while, and is no stranger to filling out the exactor.
