Belmont Park: $45,866 pick-six carryover awaits for July 4 holiday card

ELMONT, N.Y. – Upsets, upsets, and more upsets Sunday at Belmont Park created a $45,866 pick-six carryover into Monday’s Independence Day card.

The pick six will begin on race 5 (3:08 p.m. Eastern) and include the day’s feature, the Grade 1, $250,000 Prioress Stakes for 3-year-old fillies.

Not a single favorite won at Belmont on Sunday, and a pick-six carryover was assured after Tamarind Hall ($33.80) won the Grade 3, $150,000 Bed o’ Roses Handicap while 1-4 favorite Hilda’s Passion could do no better than sixth. There were no live tickets heading into the nightcap.

Sunday’s pick-six sequence of 7-4-3-5-4-8 included Far Isle ($6), Emerald Beech ($45.60), Hill Crossing ($6.10), Millionreasonswhy ($15.80), Tamarind Hall ($33.80), and Holy Ego ($10.60).

There were two winning consolation tickets (5 of 6), each worth $7,644.
