Belmont carryover at $126,811

ELMONT, N.Y. - As if there wasn't enough intrigue on Saturday at Belmont Park, there will be a pick-6 carryover of $126,811 entering the card, which includes five Grade 1 stakes highlighted by the $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup.

All five stakes will be part of the pick 6, which kicks off with race 6, the $500,000 Vosburgh for sprinters. The Vosburgh drew a field of 10, but there are only eight betting interests, led by the entry of Pomeroy and Lion Tamer.

Also part of the sequence are the Beldame, featuring Ashado, Society Selection and Sweet Symphony; the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational led by Shakespeare and the European invader Ace; the Jockey Club Gold Cup highlighted by Lava Man, Flower Alley, and Borrego; and the Flower Bowl Invitational with Melhor Ainda, Wonder Again, and European shipper Lune d'Or. The pick 6 concludes with an indecipherable New York-bred entry-level allowance race going seven furlongs, which drew an overflow field of 15.

The pick-6 carryover is a result of the wager going unhit for two straight days.

If the pick 6 doesn't meet your fancy, there are two pick 4 wagers being offered on Saturday with guaranteed pools. The New York Racing Association has a pick 4 guaranteed pool of $500,000 on the Beldame, Joe Hirsch, Jockey Club, and Flower Bowl.

The National Thoroughbred Racing Association has a $400,000 guaranteed pick 4, which includes the Joe Hirsch, Super Derby from Louisiana Downs, Jockey Club, and Goodwood Breeders' Cup Handicap from Santa Anita. Those four races can be seen live on ESPN beginning at 4 p.m.
