Belmont Ball fundraiser for Old Friends

The Oheka Castle mansion in Huntington, N.Y., will host its first Belmont Ball as a fundraiser for the Old Friends equine retirement facility, which has a division near Saratoga Springs, N. Y.

Built as a residence by in the 1920s by financier Otto Hermann Kahn, Oheka Castle is now a popular event venue. The Belmont Ball gala will take place there June 6 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature a small-plate buffet, open bar, and racing-themed pastries by Oheka’s executive pastry chef Daniel Andreotte. The event also will include live and silent auctions and the inaugural presentation of the Old Friends Frankel Award, named for the late Hall of fame trainer Bobby Frankel, to Dottie Ingordo-Shirreffs.

Tickets are $250, and ten-person tables are available for $2,000. For reservations, call Old Friends at (502) 863-1775.
