Beau Brummel preview

Fairplex Park - Race 10
Beau Brummel Stakes
6 1/2 Furlongs
Purse $65,000.

DIAMOND DAVE must deal with the tough outside post for his first two-turn test, but he should appreciate dropping in class from the Grade 3 Hollywood Juvenile Championship, and a repeat of the 86 Beyer he earned in his maiden score would make him tough to beat. There likely aren't any E Z Warrior's in here for him to topple.
SPARK OF DUBAI needed a drop to maiden claimers in order to graduate, but he did so in nice time, and the race's fifth-place finisher returned to win by 11 at Yavapai before finishing second in a stakes over there. Flores may attempt to float Diamond Dave wide going into the first turn.
STELLA'S POSADA is one of only two multi-winners in the field, and he was simply overmatched in the Grade 2 Best Pal last time. The horse that he beat handily on July 27, Sweet Freedom, returned to dead-heat for the win in a 40K starter allowance at Del Mar.
YES TALK TO ME projects as the speed nearest the rail, and he is eligible for improvement after pairing up Beyer tops in his last two races.
