Baugh joins Barretts sales team


Greg Baugh, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club’s director of customer service, has been hired by Barretts Sales as director of business development.

Baugh, a resident of Del Mar, Calif., will be in charge of Barretts’s auction operations at Del Mar, will oversee its outreach program in the San Diego equine community, and will address consignor and buyer needs at the group’s local venues. He had worked with the auction company’s staff during the past year as it made the transition to Del Mar from its previous base at Fairplex Park in Pomona, Calif.

“Greg brings to this position a solid history of success in operations, customer service, and sales,” said Kim Lloyd, Barretts general manager. “His knowledge and relationships within the Thoroughbred racing industry will be important resources for generating new business for Barretts as well as expanding the Barretts at Del Mar brand.”

While Baugh’s role with Barretts will become his primary emphasis, he will continue his responsibilities with Del Mar during the racing season. He had previously served as director of customer service for Equibase and security coordinator for Breeders’ Cup.
