Hip No. 27, bay colt, by Malibu Moon–Fashion Cat, by Forest Wildcat, consigned by Breaking Point Farm.

This colt turned in the fastest quarter-mile time of Friday’s pre-sale under-tack show, completing the workout in :20.80. He is out of the winning Forest Wildcat mare Fashion Cat, who has produced four foals to race, with two winners. Fashion Cat is a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Peace Rules, who finished third in the 2003 Kentucky Derby and currently stands at stud, as well as multiple stakes winner Wild Fashion.

Hip No. 35, chestnut filly, by Tapit–Haysee, by Orientate, Consigned by Sequel Bloodstock, agent.

A filly out of the Orientate mare Haysee, the daughter of 2011 Broodmare of the Year Oatsee, who has produced Grade 1 winners Shackleford and Lady Joanne, Grade 2 winner Afleeting Lady, Grade 3 winner Baghdaria, and Grade 2-placed stakes winner Stephanoatsee. Haysee is the dam of one foal to race, who was Oatsee’s first starter as a second dam. Tapit is easily the most commercial stallion that Haysee has been sent to, which should bode well for the filly’s price. During the under-tack show, this filly covered one furlong in :10.40.

Hip No. 39, dark bay or brown colt, by Midnight Lute–In Secure, by A.P. Indy, consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, agent.

Midnight Lute’s foals have come on in a big way this spring, which could help boost the sire’s popularity heading into the 2-year-old sale season. This colt is out of the multiple stakes-winning A.P. Indy mare In Secure, who is the dam of three winners from five to race, including Grade 2 winner Millionreasonswhy and stakes winner Beyondallboundarys. He breezed an eighth of a mile in :10.20 on Friday during the under-tack show.

Hip No. 42, dark bay or brown filly, by Unbridled’s Song–Jera, by Jeblar, consigned by Eddie Woods, agent.

A half-sister to Grade 1 winner Jeranimo, this filly is out of the stakes-winning Jeblar mare Jera, who has produced four winners from six to race, including two other stakes-placed winners. She is from the family of Grade 1 winner and young sire First Samurai, Grade 1 winner A Huevo, Grade 2 winner O’Prado Again and Grade 3 winner Sky Blue Pink. She breezed one furlong during the under-tack show in ten seconds flat.

Hip No. 65, bay filly, by Unusual Heat–Miss Soft Sell, by Siyah Kalem, consigned by Callaway Thoroughbreds.

This filly’s dam, Miss Soft Sell, has been a triple threat as a broodmare, producing successful horses on the racetrack, in the sales ring, and in the breeding shed. The dam of nine winners from ten to race, the Siyah Kalem mare’s top foals include multiple Grade 1 winner Brother Derek, Grade 2-placed stakes winner Don’tsellmeshort, and stakes-placed winner Swissle Stick, who sold for $600,000 at the 2004 Barretts March sale. All three currently stand at stud. Two of Miss Soft Sell’s daughters also produced stakes winners. At Friday’s breeze show, this filly turned in a one-furlong time of ten seconds flat.

Hip No. 67, gray or roan colt, by Dunkirk–Missy Turtle, by Kyle’s Our Man, consigned by Excel Bloodstock, agent.

This colt tied for the fastest one-furlong workout during the pre-sale under-tack show, with a time of :9.60. He is out of the winning Kyle’s Our Man mare Missy Turtle, who has produced three winners from seven to race, including stakes-placed winner Among the Willows. The colt is from the family of Grade 2-placed stakes winner Egg Head, Puerto Rican Horse of the Year Bandit Bomber, and stakes winners including Redding Ridge, Chief J Strongbow, Bara Lass, San Simon, and Baba Booyah.

Hip No. 84, bay colt, by Exchange Rate–Perfect Paula, by Songandaprayer, consigned by Wavertree Stables, agent.

This was the second juvenile to breeze an eighth at the under-tack show, with a time of :9.60. He is out of the stakes-placed winning Songandaprayer mare Perfect Paula, who has produced one winner from two to race. His notable family members include Grade 2 winners Nightmare Affair and Terra Incognita, as well as Grade 1-placed stakes winner Stolen Gold and Grade 2-placed winners Another Silver Oak, Radical Sabbatical and Dave in Dixie.
