Bandbox, Travis Dunkelberger up, wins the Private Terms.

Bandbox rebounded from his narrow defeat in last month's Miracle Wood to post a solid victory in Saturday's $75,000 Private Terms at Laurel Park.

Sent off at 3-5, Bandbox stalked the pace under jockey Travis Dunkelberger, staying off the pacesetting Rush Now in the one-mile race through fractions of 22.59 and 46.49 seconds through a half-mile, six furlongs in 1:11.74. Bandbox moved up three wide entering the stretch and had the lead by the eighth pole. Under Dunkelberger's urging, he pulled clear for a 1/4-length victory. Rush Now, with Mario Pino up, was five lengths clear of the third-place No Easy Answer. Tap Star, Concealed Identity, and Ram completed the order of finish.

Bandbox, a 3-year-old New York-bred son of Tapit trained by Rodney Jenkins, finished in 1:37.25 and paid $3.40. His record now stands at 4 for 6.
