Race 10 - $20,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (43 - 83 / $150.20): SUDDENLY SINGLE (4th)

Spot Play: RHOMBUS (9th)

Race 1

(8) BC'S CHIEF four-year-old pacer has been on the improve and could upset in the right scenario at a price.  (7) FOX VALLEY MALONE looks to be a short price in a soft field.  The 3-year-old gelding does his best work from off the pace and could use some fast fractions to close into.  (4) BRING IT ALL has some upside in the race but couldn't close on the leaders last out off a good trip.

Race 2

(7) AGOOD TIME TO ROCK well bred 3-year-old faces much easier, gets a big driver change, and looks to be one of few contenders in the race.  (5) TONE needed his last start and should be much sharper second time back. The five-year-old appears to be the only threat to the top choice.  (3) FOX VALLEY GEORGE has also been in tougher at Maywood and should find this group a little easier; use underneath.

Race 3

(5) ODDS ON RHODONITE nice looking 2-year-old comes off an impressive qualifier and could be faster than the field.  (6) ACES AGAIN if anybody could upset the top choice here is your candidate. The freshman pacer ripped home in his first time on the track.  (7) MOVIN' N SHAKIN' gelding makes his career debut off two qualifiers and looks to have a good burst.

Race 4

(6) SUDDENLY SINGLE sophomore pacer adds second time lasix, faces easier, and just needs a smooth trip for a big chance.  (7) MORTAL COMBAT has really blossomed into a nice horse.  The 3-year-old almost closed from an impossible spot last out; fires late.  (5) KOSTAS WINE gelding benefited from a good trip but will need more against these.

Race 5

(2) ALWAYS THE SUN circled the field last out from dead last off of a really slow pace.  The 2-year-old makes his first start in a new barn and will be tough to beat with a repeat of that effort.  (7) DOZER has just been racing evenly but does find a suspect group besides the top choice.  (5) DUNESIDE ART is coming along slowly but picks up the top driver and could improve some.

Race 6

(8) TAMARAC SASSY mare should take advantage of her tactical gate speed which could put one of her main rivals in a bad spot.  (6) WEEKEND UPDATE will either be sitting first or second and should get a breather up front which would make her dangerous to hit the exacta.  (7) MJ'S LAST DANCE mare drops back down after facing some stiff competition but could be at the mercy of a slow pace up front.

Race 7

(1) BELL VALLY BILL gelding is inconsistent at times but was really good last out and draws the rail; threat.  (6) HEATH is always tough to gauge as he also races inconsistent but could easily win with a good effort.  (2) WHIRLWINDIPLOMACY is just now racing himself back into shape off a short layoff and might need another start.

Race 8

(1) MAJESTIC ROYALE should offer a nice price and looks to be in line for a great trip up close to the pace.  (8) GALACTIC STAR looks to be a force in this class when he races like he has in his last few efforts.  (6) ELKHORN DAMIEN ten-year-old hasn't had a victory in a long time, even down in class but still should be considered a threat.  Try and look at the results of the connections horse in the 6th and that could give you an idea about this one.

Race 9

(5) RHOMBUS gelding makes his first start for connections that are winning at a huge clip.  The well bred 5-year-old is really fast and could offer a nice price.  (1b) BEST MAN HANOVER gelding has come from far back in his last two efforts but I suspect a change in tactics this week; versatile.  (2) DABESTLEADEREVER six-year-old appears to be in to tough but does own back class and gets sent out by the same trainer of the top choice.

Race 10

(7) REVOLUTIONARY five-year-old is sharp and could get an easy lead early on; threat.  (3)  CASINO CAPTOR doesn't look that good on paper but does find a short and suspect field; fires late.  (5) JO JO SPUR has come up empty in his last few but could hit the board at a price.

Race 11

(5) BET ON HIM gelding was a force in the invites last year and now makes his third start back off a really long layoff; threat.  (7) PARK LANE HOTSHOT was used multiple times last out before tiring late.  The well bred 7-year-old might be better off making one run from the back. (10) THUNDER STEELER is starting to turn it around after being razor sharp early in the season; fires early.

Race 12

(3) DUNE IN RED filly has been on my radar for a while now; she faces older but has the talent and speed to pull the upset if she minds her manners.  (7) REV ME UP mare takes a huge drop in class and could just use a breather up front early; vulnerable late.  (5) LADY BONES takes a big class hike for red hot connections.

Race 13

(5) T E'S ZENYATTA mare just raced evenly last out but is now way down in class; big chance.  (2) METIS BLUE CHIP mare is going to pop at a price sooner rather than later.  (1) OUR MISS LILY well bred filly races inconsistently and will probably be over bet; use caution.
