Race 10 - $20,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (9 - 12 / $39.60): SCHMATIE (6th)

Spot Play: CABANA JACK (13th)

Race 1

(3) PABLO'S SKY DANCER has yet to hit the board in seven career starts but the 4-year-old does have a good burst of speed if he can stay pacing.  (2) WALKING TALL sophomore pacer showed good improvement in his last start and should be ready for a big effort.  (7) BIG CITY JEWEL was a game winner last out.  The well-bred pacer could be at the mercy of the pace and outer flow.

Race 2

(5) JB OUI OUI was shut down halfway down the lane last out in his victory.  The 6-year-old is versatile and could be catching the main contenders at a good time.  (7) CELEBRITY HERCULES was a beast last year and now makes his third start back off a layoff against a much softer field.  (6) BIG CHOCOLATE well-bred stallion crawled home last out in the invite at Hoosier and does have a history of going south after a bad race; use caution.

Race 3

(1) STAMPED BY DESIGN gets a big driver change, the best post, and will look to ration out his speed; fires early.  (4) SHISWELL'S DELIGHT is handicapped by the driver but has been super sharp off a layoff.  (6) BELL VALLEY BILL is on the upswing and a threat should the top choice falter.

Race 4

In a field with few contenders (1) COTTON EYED JOE will be tough to beat with a smooth trip.  (2) TRULY WILD hasn't shown he can step up with this group yet but his last mile was really good.  (3) FOX VALLEY DEUCE the connections have been using certain races as tune ups including last out at Maywood.  The well bred 3-year-old has been on a roll and could try and fire for position.

Race 5

(2) AL'S HAMMERED had too much to do last out while the leaders got a middle half breather.  The 4-year-old can close with the best of them and look for him to unleash a first over wicked brush.   (3) FORT SILKY will most likely be sitting in the pocket for an ideal trip.  (4) ICE SCRAPER gelding has blazing gate speed but usually can't pace with the top choices late.

Race 6

(6) SCHMATIE four-year-old mare has come back off a layoff sharp and takes a huge drop in class.  (1) KISS ON THE LIPS mare has shown signs of improvement and was really good last out.  (7) DALLAS JONES is one of the faster pacers in the field but needs a driver change to be at her best; use underneath.

Race 7

(4) WHISTLE PIG mare was a game winner last out and faces an easier field.  (5) JUST BY DESIGN mare had a career year in 2013 and raced well in her two qualifiers, however she might need a start.  (6) ALWAYS ELECTRIC filly is getting prepped for a Hoosier campaign and probably needs another race under her belt; use underneath.

Race 8

(9) IN OVER MY HEAD unleashed a wicked back half at Maywood first up last out.  The classy veteran needs to get position out of the gate for his best chance.  (1) MAJOR MONET well-bred pacer draws the rail, has the most gate speed, and will be used aggressively down in class.  (10) FASHION DELIGHT gelding had been facing much tougher at Hoosier but does need to find a way into the race.

Race 9

(7) MACKENZIE'S POWER coming right back to the pacing mares after a clunker.  The 10-year-old should offer a gigantic price and has a chance if she races back to her prior form.  (4) GIMMEAZZZMOOCH mare is a good pacer that still has some upside and has not reached her potential yet.  (6) MJ'S LAST DANCE mare was really sharp last out and is a huge threat with any kind of a trip.

Race 10

(3) RHOMBUS gelding has a big class edge on the field and should be primed for a good effort after a layoff.  (1) ALWAYS A FIGHTER was heartbreaking for his backers last out as he would have drawn off at a huge price with any room to navigate.  The gelding might not be up to the task of knocking off the top choice but could be a good play on the ticket.  (7) MAJOR MALE well-bred stallion has been super sharp but is facing better.

Race 11

(8) BEST MAN HANOVER give the pacer a fast track and it's smooth sailing to the winners circle down in class.  (2) EXTRAVAGANT ART four-year-old pacer has been pacing some decent miles but has had trouble passing horses in the past.  (4) ALLAMERICAN SOLO comes off a scratch but the pacer has a good late kick and usually passes horses late; use underneath.

Race 12

In a weak and inconsistent field with few contenders (2) ARROYA BLUE CHIP has won two of three starts and does have some upside.  (7) ONE LOUD DING mare just missed to the top choice last out and has been racing gamely.  (6) SHELBY LU has not come back off the layoff well but had shown ability last year.

Race 13

(1) CABANA JACK gets sent out for a provisional driver but drops in for a tag and has been racing better than his lines show.  (2) ROCKME AMADEOUS gets a good post in a weak field and has a nice win in this class.  (5) GALACTIC STAR gelding was a game winner last out against a similar field and could be better third start back off a layoff.
