Race 10 - $20,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (23 - 39 / $82.00): RICHESS EMPEROR (7th)

Spot Play: WINDSUN MONTECARLO (2nd)

Race 1

Now is the time to pay close attention to pedigree and (1) PERTTY MUSIC has just that being out of a mare who produces consistently.  Three-year-old filly put in a huge effort first start off the layoff and should be much sharper.  (7) DALLAS JONES three-year-old is racing gamely and should get a faster pace up front this week for her to close into.  (5) BIG ZIPPER filly shows nothing but game efforts and will be firing early.

Race 2

(2) WINDSUN MONTECARLO mare has won two straight and hasn't even raced herself into shape yet; should have more in the tank.  (1) PEACE mare had a perfect ground saving trip last out never leaving the rail.  Six-year-old is sharp and could be looking at another great trip.  (6) TAMARAC SASSY mare was an easy winner last out against a game opponent and is versatile.

Race 3

(9) GALACTIC STAR gelding makes his second start in this condition for the top trainer and will be firing early.  (1) RIO'S Z TAM nine-year-old was roughed up last out but now draws the rail and looks to offer little value.  (3) UNIVERSAL DREAM N gelding has just been racing evenly but has been hitting the board consistently.

Race 4

(4) WHIRLWINDIPLOMACY four-year-old was sharp prior to his last effort and took a week off to freshen up; threat.  (1) WESTERN SLAMMER gelding draws the best post and looks to be in a good spot to do some damage.  (7) REALLY LUCKY well bred 4-year-old was to close to a hot pace last out and just needs a bit of racing luck to find the winners circle.

Race 5

(7) JETTIN JAMIE filly makes her sophomore debut off a strong qualifier for a barn who seems to have everything ready.   (2) FEEL LIKE DANCING three-year-old makes her second start off a layoff and looks to have some talent.  (3) SPECIAL KIM filly needed her last effort, draws a good post, and should be in line for a decent trip.

Race 6

(2) ZALL GOOD gelding never got into the mile last out but had been racing gamely in his last few.  Four-year-old does his best racing from close to the pace and I look for him to be involved early.  (4) WOLFIES SPORTSTER four-year-old made a break last out but gets a good driver change and has a lot of upside.  (7) SHAX gelding was a game winner last out making up ground late but is usually at the mercy of the pace up front.

Race 7

(6) RICHESS EMPEROR gelding was flying at the end of the mile last out and should be much closer turning for home in this short field.  (7) BELL VALLEY BILL five-year-old was the drivers choice and just needs a good trip. (3) URAWOMANIZER four-year-old gelding takes a huge drop in class and is facing much easier but is hard to play in his current form; command a price.

Race 8

(1) BEST MAN HANOVER was simply awesome last out and should be even better second start off the long layoff.  (5) LUCKY JET well bred stallion also makes his second start off the layoff and could be the only threat to the top choice.   (3) FOX VALLEY YUKON gelding made up a ton of ground late last out and should offer a big price.

Race 9

(6) THUNDER STEELER gelding is razor sharp right now and just needs someone to mix it up early with the pace setter for a big chance.  (8) ST ELMO HERO gelding has yet to find his best stride but does seem to race well with some time in between starts.  (5) TIME TO ROLL impeccably bred stallion could upset at a price with the right trip.

Race 10

(2) FOX VALLEY TOUCHE classy mare seems to be a different horse on the big track and could offer some nice value; fires early.  (6) UPFRONT MISS MAJOR mare put in the effort of the night last out circling the field even after pedestrian fractions up front.  (7) WHISTLE PIG mare has had a few weeks off after putting in a couple of lackluster efforts; fires late.

Race 11

(5) PODGES LADY well bred mare makes her season debut off a couple of decent qualifiers and lays over the field based on class.   (2) TWILIGHT DELIGHT put in a huge three quarters of a mile just tiring a bit late and should get a good trip.  (1) WILLOW GRAM mare also put in a big effort last out, draws the rail, and will be firing late.

Race 12

(3) BRIEF'S BOY gelding put in a huge effort first start off the layoff, finds a suspect field, and should improve.  (6) SO BE IT gelding also put in a nice effort first start off the layoff and some back class in a wide open field.  (1) REAL OR MAGIC five-year-old stallion draws the rail, makes his third start off a layoff, and should offer a big price.

Race 13

In a very weak and inconsistent field (6) LOOK MA NO HANDS seems to be more consistent than the rest and does his best work from off the pace.  (3) THATSWHATTHEYSAY gelding has been used hard in three straight starts and could use a smooth trip; threat.  (1) ANDREW OLE BOY went from awesome to empty after a couple of tough trips but does draw the rail in a soft field.
