Balmoral: Saturday 4/12 Analysis

Race 10 - $20,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (6 - 8 / $26.40): JB OUI OUI (4th)

Race 1

(7) MY BOY CAL five-year-old pacer makes his third start back off a long layoff and finds a suspect field.  (3) ONE LAST CHANCE is also just finding his stride and has popped off some big miles in the past; threat.  (1a) LOST ONE  part of an entry that has just been racing evenly; command a price.

Race 2

(4) FOX VALLEY AMANDA needed her first start and should be sharper.  (5) LITTLE WARRIORETTE has been given two perfect trips in two starts; threat.   (2) GENTLE JANET has been facing better and pacing consistent miles.

Race 3

(3) DUNESIDE MATT comes off a scratch but should offer the right price in an extremely wide open race.  (4) FORE needed his last start and could show improvement.  (1) RACHAELS BLACKJACK draws the best post in a suspect field.

Race 4

(8) JB OUI OUI would have been a heavy favorite against this group last year.  The 6-year-old trotter should be sitting on a good effort.  (5) FOX VALLEY ARROW looks to be in line for a great trip on the lead or in the pocket.  (3) MASTER OF EXCUSES should have been rated better despite taking early pressure last start; fires early.

Race 5

(2) GIMMEAZZZMOOCH picks up a big driver change and has been sneaky sharp.  (5) STATE STREET LIZ has a really good brush and just needs some pace to chase.   (6) ALWAYS ABOUT KATEY Indiana bred champ makes her first start of the year but might need a start.

Race 6

(1) LOOK MA NO HANDS draws the best post and was used very aggressively last out; big chance.   (5) CATMANDO scored at a nice price last race and could have more to offer.  (7) GALACTIC STAR had a decent qualifier and when right the pacer is better than this group.

Race 7

(2) DON'T FLASH ME despite racing evenly the pacing mare faces a much easier bunch.  (5) PARK LANE CRYSTAL was rounding back into form before a clunker at Hoosier; threat.  (1) FOX VALLEY ABSOLUT owns back class but could need a start off a layoff.

Race 8

(1) VICTORIZE gets the best post in a weak field; big chance.  (6) JESSE SAY MORE trotting gelding has more ability than what he's shown so far.  (7) MYSTERY XPOSED picks up a new pilot but needs a smooth trip to hit the board.

Race 9

(6) STAMPED BY DESIGN veteran pacer gets a significant driver change and makes his third start back off a layoff.  (1) TINK AND TIGER will probably be used very aggressively from the rail.  The pacer just needs a soft middle half to be there on the wire.  (7) MAJOR MALE steps up in class but was razor sharp first start back; use underneath.

Race 10

(4) RHOMBUS well bred gelding drops in class, and should be much better this time out.   (1) HOLDINGALLTHECARDS draws the best post and is versatile.  (6) HOLY CHIP has been competitive in this class but is probably best used on the bottom of the ticket.

Race 11

(9) ICE SCRAPER put in a huge effort last out and gets away from a monster; fires early.  (6) BEST MAN HANOVER is a major player in the race on a fast track but has not done his best when the track is rated sloppy which could be a factor.  (7) MAJOR MONET not quite sure what to expect from the classy pacer as he was lights out a few starts ago before coming up empty.

Race 12

(1) MORTAL OCMBAT draws the rail and was the driver's choice.  (2) IM A DAN FOOL was given a questionable drive brushing to the lead from dead last before tiring late last start.  The pacer has some ability and could use a good trip.  (4) RICKIE BOBBIE has parlayed two perfect trips so far and will look to make it three straight.

Race 13

In a field with few contenders  (1) MOON BAY DANCER should be in line for a nice easy trip starting from the rail.  (3) MISSCHIPBYART has been sharp and is versatile; threat.  (6) LIQUEUR closed up nicely against the same bunch and could sweep past late with the right trip.
