Race 10 - $20,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (15 - 24 / $52.60): SECTIONLINE YANKEE (2nd)

Spot Play: UNCLE BUD (9th)

Race 1

(8) MIGHTY RPMZZZ gelding just missed last out coming off a scratch.  Four-year-old needed the start and should be sharper.   (6) DONTBEACHATME well-bred gelding put in a solid effort to kick off his three year old season and has lots of room for improvement.  (5) PARK LANE SCOOTER gelding just missed in his last two efforts and looks to be in an evenly matched field.

Race 2

(1) SECTIONLINE YANKEE mare makes her third start back off the layoff, draws the rail, and has a big class advantage over most of the field.  (3) FOX VALLEY TOUCHE mare consistently hits the board and always gives a good effort; fires early.  (2) TOGETHER AGAIN N mare got a perfect trip last out following a game winner and looks to be in line for a similar trip.

Race 3

(4) MRS D is underachieving for her pedigree but looks to have the breaking issues worked out and should offer a fair price.  (7) POPPA WOODY takes a bump up in class but comes off a really good effort.  (1) FOREST HEIGHTS gelding draws the rail, drops in class, and looks to have one decent burst that needs to be timed right.

Race 4

(5) JOHNATHONS SCOOTER gelding got an ideal trip last time and could have some newfound confidence in a soft field.  (1) MC FLASHBACK made up a lot of ground late last out from far back and now draws the rail.  (2) FOX VALLEY CADBURY drops in class and will probably offer low value but should be considered a threat.

Race 5

(4) ONE LAST CHANCE gelding is racing gamely and should be in line for a good trip.  (1) ANDREW OLE BOY five-year-old has been a different pacer since joining a new barn two starts back and is probably sitting on a big effort.  (8) THISWAYORTHEHIGHWY gelding was pacing up a storm last out drawing off impressively; a repeat of that effort does the trick.

Race 6

(8) MAJOR MALE is razor sharp right now and versatile; big chance.  (3) PECK BLUE CHIP well-bred gelding finally had a breakthrough performance and could improve off that effort.  (2) ELKHORN DAMIEN gelding was used aggressively last out before tiring late and could use a good trip.

Race 7

(5) LOOK MA NO HANDS gelding looks to have had the light go off and figured out how to be a race horse; fires late.  (4) JUSTLIVINTHEDREAM gelding does his best work from off the pace and could use some fast fractions upfront to close into.  (6) ROCKME AMADEOUS gelding just missed to the top selection and should be in a perfect spot turning for home in the short field.

Race 8

(9) FASHION DELIGHT well-bred gelding takes a big drop in class, and just needs to mind his manners in an inconsistent field.  (5) BONN SCOTT gelding also drops in class and appears to be versatile.  (1) LIFE IS GOOD TODAY gelding draws the rail and faces an easier bunch but has just been racing evenly; command a price.

Race 9

(7) UNCLE BUD never got into the mile last out but was flying late.  Four-year-old gelding drops in class and finds a short field; big chance.  (4) FOX VALLEY ARCTIC gelding put in a good effort first start shipping in and I like the fact he's now had a trip over the oval.  (1) FOX VALLEY GEORGE draws the rail but has just been pacing evenly.

Race 10

(6) THUNDER STEELER well-bred gelding really impressed me last out first up against a game winner.  (8) SPECIAL JOE gelding was a wrapped up winner last out and could have more to offer; versatile.  (7) DONT WORRY B HAPPY gelding seems to race better with some time in between starts and should a speed duel take place upfront watch for him to pace up a storm late.

Race 11

(6) FOX VALLEY YUKON gelding put in a game effort last out and has a post advantage on his main competition.  (7) FOUR STARZZZ Z gelding showed a good burst when he shook loose late last out and should be sharper making his fourth start off the layoff.  (9) HEATH gelding takes a good drop in class and will probably be a short price.  Nine-year-old needs to float for position for his best chance.

Race 12

(3) DEE DEE SAGE mare makes her second start off a long layoff and looks to have a class edge on the field if she's ready.  (5) PEACE mare was an impressive winner last out showing a new dimension; fires late. (7) DALLAS JONES three-year-old filly faces older but looks to be getting better with every start; threat.

Race 13

In what I consider to be one of the most difficult races to handicap (4) ARCH VILLAIN put in a decent effort last out being used aggressively for the top trainer. (8) RIO'S Z TAM gelding got a perfect trip last out but couldn't seal the deal.  Nine-year-old will need to be involved early to reach the winners circle. (10) MOST HAPPY KEENE gelding is racing himself back into shape and could be sitting on a good effort.
