Race 10 - $15,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: BEST MAN HANOVER (9th)

Spot Play: LBS ALAMERICANJOY (10th)

Race 1

(2) UP TOWN LADY five-year-old mare got a start under her belt in Ohio and that could give her an edge on the field.  (5) SEEKIN FOR GLAMOUR was a major player against these a few months ago.  I also like the fact the pacer has had two good qualifiers since the layoff.  (1) WHATASWEETFLIGHT draws the rail in a field full of question marks.

Race 2

(7) FOX VALLEY TRINITY could use some racing luck in the short field, but did kick home nicely uncovered in the last qualifier.  (4) HOOSIER HILDA doesn't look good on paper but was starting to turn a corner the end of last year; threat.  (6) FULL SERVICE owns ability but looks to offer low value off a layoff; use caution.

Race 3

In a very tough field to handicap (6) A AND GS EXPRESS picks up a huge driver change and might be a little more fit than the rest.  (7) JUST ENOUGH was used aggressively first start off the bench and should be a player in the weak field.  (4) LOOK MA NO HANDS probably needs a start like most others; use underneath.

Race 4

(9) L A CAMCHARGER has raced gamely this year and could use some pace up front to close into.  (4) YO-ZURI owns gate speed and has a post edge on his main rival; vulnerable late.  (3) FOX VALLEY VEGA should offer a huge price and looks to be in line for a ground saving trip.

Race 5

(5) AL'S HAMMERED will look to take advantage of his big late kick; fires late.  (2) IN OVER MY HEAD probably needs a start but has just as much ability as anybody in the field when right.  (6) FIRSTCLASSALLTHWAY might try and follow the top choice the whole mile; use underneath.

Race 6

(8) JESSE SAY MORE gelding trotter comes into the race more in shape than the rest of the field.  The 4-year-old made the most money last year by far.   (7) RAPHAELL well bred trotter has some upside and comes off a really nice qualifier.  (5) KK'S BANDIT also put in a nice qualifier and is usually better when fresh.

Race 7

(3) BRIEF'S BOY should offer the better price and has been razor sharp in the qualifiers.  (2) MAJOR MONET will take heavy tote action due to all the back class but could need a start despite the good looking prep.  (1) UNCLE SMOOTHIE gets sent out for a trainer that has a reputation for bringing them ready off the bench; threat.

Race 8

(7) DALLAS JONES mare continued to get better with every start last year.  The 4-year-old pacer has a start under her belt against a very tough field.  (6) EXCELERATED SPEED was in career form a few starts back, drops in class, and might fit the big track better.  (2) ASTREAS NOTICE gets sent out for proven connections but takes a big step up in class.

Race 9

(1) BEST MAN HANOVER owns all the back class, comes off an excellent qualifier, and is versatile; big chance.  (8) PARK LANE DEPUTY will probably try and fire for position and should have something left late.  (7) UNCLE BUD will offer a big price and is a contender with the long layoffs.

Race 10

(8) LB'S ALAMERICANJOY put in a super qualifier and has the best closing ability in the field.  (9) RAGING CAM the qualifiers are sharp but the gelding hasn't always raced his best on the big track.  (6) HOLY CHIP did his best work at this track last year and put in a nice last quarter in the qualifier.

Race 11

(2) REVOLUTIONARY qualifier doesn't stick out but could be ready for a sneaky good effort.  (1) FOX VALLEY DEUCE three-year-old pacer put in a couple of qualifiers that look good but he is facing older.  (4) LIFE IS GOOD TODAY is probably the fastest horse in the race but doesn't win often.

Race 12

(10) MISS LAUREN looks to be on the comeback trail after more than a year off.  The mare had a fantastic freshman campaign and could have more ability than the entire field.  (8) JUSTHAVENTMETUYET mare has some intangibles going for her and always fights hard to the finish.  (5) LEANMEAN NORMAJEAN fits the class nicely and could get a piece with the right trip.

Race 13

In a very tough field to gauge (7) LOVEDANCINWITHYOU gelding swooped the field in the qualifiers and just needs honest fractions up front to close into.  (2) GRAM LEGEND appears to just be racing evenly but should save ground before shaking loose late.   (3) FORTUNE DOR looks to need a start but might be a candidate to hit the bottom of the ticket at a price.
